Hello beautiful people! I have lots of great news to share. One of them is that I will be one of the speakers at the huge event: Freedom For Family Wellness Summit (October 21-24) -in Washington, D.C http://familywellnessfirst.org/ On Friday, Suzanne Arms opens the conference, then Ina May Gaskin, then yours truly at 11am :) All trio before lunch! Bruce Lipton is on in the evening and Joseph Chilton Pearce is speaking on Saturday. All day on Sunday are a few workshops, including mine. This is promising a lot of fun and profound exchanges.
My presentation title is:
Birth Into Being: Preparing for Conscious Birth: what it takes, what can be done, what common mistakes women fall into during preparation and pros and cons of Waterbirth.
New Book's Cooking!
There is a book in the making that will consist of 25 chapters, with every chapter written by a different woman in a different country. It's called "The Power the Wold has never seen". The master-mind behind this baby is Sharon Mijares, bless her heart! The editors were carefully selecting 25 internationally known women around the world that have positively impacted the world in the most real, profound ways and are still alive to write about it themselves. It's an amazing circle of 25 women from everywhere - Africa, Asia, South America, etc I am honored to be invited into this circle as one of the 25 contributors :) It's a great acknowledgment of my life's work...

The course Helen and I held in Brussels went like a DREAM!! Our first level 1 workshop1 We supported each other so, so well - she really created the "birthing filed" and gave the day structure (she's a Yoga teacher - as you know) and I did a lot of the explaining and supporting them in their processes.
We loved working together! And they want us BACK! to do more courses with their friends.

Awesome! That was your rite of passage to pull this off, - activation into Leadership! You see, the rite of passage does not have to be terrifying and painful - it can be exciting and meaningful. In the past traditions, most of the rites of passages were creative, but very harsh ways to challenge strength and stamina, they were not carrying any evolutionary, enlightening value, except eliminating and humiliating the weakest. I think that's why people abandoned them - not fun! The new rites of passages that we are establishing are the ones that carry spiritual and empowering aspect - that make you actually feel activated and honored. Congratulations, darling!

Elena, I ABSOLUTELY agree re rites of passage - I always thought there were none, really, in this day and age and really missed it.
I do feel different now. Like everything is more beautiful, because I'm more sensitive to the rhythms of life. That spiraling pulse I see everywhere - in the trees, even plastic bags blowing in the wind!! Hahaaaaa. You have to be SO sensitive to the rhythms of the participants on the course! My heart was at times racing! The processes beat the pants out of verbal therapy! I had one client who said she'd had more release from this 2 day workshop than in 8 yrs of psychotherapy! Its REALLY exciting!
We have a few more workshops booked now in London, at Bonnington, one in Amsterdam and one to be confirmed in Wales with Samara, So its all go go go!!
You and your work are amazing and I'm so happy I can be a ripple in your wave!

Shifting Gears - My Farewell Note:
Childbirth is never just about birth. It reflects our past and defines our future. That degree of impact on the quality of our life and quality of the mass mentality that our people-making practices posses is the exact reason why childbirth was taken away from the women and we were left with dis-empowering submissive numbness and suffering in place of the most important rite of passage.
It's changing, as we speak. Women are waking up from this 'mass hypnosis' all over the world!
And a decision surfaced last week to make time to focus on the 4 projects I'm pregnant with: 2 books, the new Apprenticeship DVD and a series of CDs. It means that those workshops that are already confirmed for the whole year of 2011 are going to become my last ones. Time to shift gears and give birth to those babies :) I feel that with 64 apprentices in 14 countries I can do that with clear conscience :)
What a joy for me to witness 'my girls' reaching towards each other across the oceans and continents, connecting, sharing, supporting, visiting one another! That is my biggest reward in this life - to see empowered women taking charge of their destiny and shaping up the future to the greatest Good of all! I feel that my mission on Earth is accomplished.
In my interviews done for 'Birth As WE Know It' only 5 years ago, I looked about 20 years younger... That's the price of my lifestyle... Going from Winter into Summer and back, changing day/night patterns so many times per year has been catching up with me. I need to stay put for awhile :)
